Q. Where can we get page counters, form processors, bulletin boards, guest books etc?

A. We don't encourage the use of page counters as they don't really tell you anything useful. Analysing the log files generated for your site will be much more informative. See 'Web/FTP Stats' in your cPanel.

Your cPanel account has several packages that will analyse your log files and create comprehensive reports for you.

We prefer users to not use custom scripts for several reasons:

• If your WebAdmin parts company with your organisation then we can't help you with any scripts he/she may have written for you and you may find it expensive to get an expert in to sort out problems.
• Using a well known OpenSource Content Management System (CMS) - eg: Joomla, Drupal, WordPress etc. will ensure that you can always get support for any configuration issues or other problems.
• If you install a CMS by using Fantastico then we can help ensure that it works ok and, in some cases, we can actually provide help and training on the use of that CMS.
• Using Fantastico means that you can get automatic, emailed alerts as to when you need to upgrade, or patch, your chosen CMS
• Not having unknown and possibly insecure scripts on our server, lessens the risk for everybody on the server.
